We got our start by hosting art workshops and art events, focused on handmade and traditional crafts.
At our core, we’re dedicated to supporting the arts and promoting a culture of community, creativity and heart. Located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, this hidden gem spans State Street’s underground labyrinth, tucked away below-ground since the 1920’s.

Truly a unique venue for hosting workshops, group meetings, speaking engagements and special events, or anyone needing to spread out. Also a great option for production photo/video shoots or creating artwork.
WORKSHOPS.
Host a workshop for arts and crafts, writing, personal growth and development, acting, tutoring, or anything community based.
MEETINGS.
Host a meeting for your association, collective, counseling circle, book club, meet-up group, fellowship, home-group, private yoga session, or anything community based.
EVENTS.
Special events such as speaking engagements, film screenings, and other pop-up, public events will be evaluated on a case by case basis. We’re open to your creativity and encourage you to contact us to discuss your idea.
How We Can Help
WE PROVIDE THE HOME,
YOU BRING THE HEART.
Within every community there’s a need to gather. We warmly invite qualifying groups to host events for their communities in our space, utilizing the following features.
STUDIO.
Our versatile, 250 square-foot, private studio space is perfectly suited for many types of small group gatherings. Tables and chairs are provided. The neighboring 200 square-foot artist’s studio is also available for art-centered workshops. Feel the safety of being tucked away underground where privacy is at it’s peak.
AUDITORIUM.
Our exclusive partners are invited to book our underground auditorium for their next special event, speaking engagement, film screening, or presentation. It comfortably seats 140 people with neighboring underground lobby areas available for the reception and gathering. You’ll have access to a kitchen and sink for catering, with bathrooms nearby.
BALCONY.
For select few, our sixth-floor balcony with conference table can serve as a meeting room, while our outdoor porch overlooks State Street and Paseo Nuevo Mall. Enjoy the stunning Santa Barbara mountains and Harbor from a rare perspective and view downtown from above.
